Resource Library & Seed Bank
the Growing Roots Resource Library
Located at our main office headquarters in Monteagle, TN, the Growing Roots Resource Library is a free community library featuring books on the topics of Agriculture, Home & Gardening, and Health & Wellness.
In keeping with the mission of Growing Roots, this library highlights more equitable approaches to whole health wellness, and provides access to information on subjects regarding food sovereignty and sustainability on the South Cumberland Plateau.
Free Community Seed Bank
In addition to the Resource Library, Growing Roots also maintains a Free Community Seed Bank, a seed repository and swap location for small scale South Cumberland Plateau gardeners.
Plant Starts for your home garden
During growing season (Spring & Summer), Growing Roots often has extra plant starts for herbs and vegetables available for free to residents of Grundy, Franklin, and Marion counties. Please utilize these in your home garden, share the harvest with your neighbors, and help us increase #foodAccess for everyone! To ask about plants, message us on facebook, instagram, or here on our website.
To access these resources, please stop by the Growing Roots Resource Library at our headquarters in Hallelujah Pottery during business hours or contact us to arrange a time to visit!
